Rebecca & Landen Paros

It was so much fun taking pictures of Rebecca and the little Landen. We waited 3 hours for him to fall asleep but he decided to stay awake for his photo shot.

The sertão (NE Brasil)

I would like to post some of my experience for the trip to the Northest Interior of Brazil. My journey to the Sertão (NE Brazil) was a unique experience in my life. I knew a new Brazil that I didn't know before. There is beauty and sadness in the same time.

Não há, ó gente, ó não Luar como esse do sertão 

Não há, ó gente, ó não Luar como esse do sertão

Oh! que saudade do luar da minha terra. Lá na terra branquejando folhas secas pelo chão. Este luar cá da cidade tão escuro. Não tem aquela saudade do luar lá do sertão.

Nas patas do meu cavalo, galopei no meu sertão. Vi a seca, vi a fome, lobisomem e assombração Riacho virou caminho, graveto virou tição E as pedras queimando em brasa, Asa Branca na amplidão

Riacho virou caminho. De pedras ardendo em fogo.

No poço secou a água. Menino morreu sem nome

 O boi que morreu de sede. A roça que era verde. A seca torrou garrancho.

Senhor, mande chuva pro nordeste Senhor, mande chuva pro sertão   Lord, please, let it rain in Northeast. Lord, please, let it rain in Sertão.
